CANTOR'S CONCERT

Amy Melissa is thrilled to join this showcase of fantastic talent! She received her BA in Musical Theatre and Masters in Theatre Education and has enjoyed embodying a plethora of roles, both regionally and Off-Broadway, including Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Bloody Mary in South Pacific, Domina in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Sue in Bells Are Ringing, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Duchess of York in Richard III and Miss Jones in How To Succeed In Business... , just to name a few!  However, Amy's most favorite role to date is mom to her two-year old daughter, Logan Rose.

Performers

Paul is a singer, instrumentalist, actor and opera director. A former faculty member of Mannes College of Music and the New School, he is a founding member of the renaissance music ensemble, Ex Umbris, and the baroque group Ensemble Viscera and he currently works extensively with Apollo's Fire and El Mundo. Paul has toured in all 50 states and 17 countries with Tragicomedia, The Harp Consort, The Mark Morris Dance Group, and The New York Baroque Dance Company among many others, and brings his expertise teaching voice and music.

 

In the opera world he has sung feature roles from Monteverdi to Berlioz, and devised gestures and stage direction for The New York Continuo Collective, Juneau Lyric Opera and colleges and other regional opera companies.

 

Paul can also be heard on more than 50 CDs, the soundtracks of various bad horror films, and along with fellow Ex Umbrians, in Showtime and PBS mini-series and educational programs.

Kyra Gerber is a current freshman at Elon University pursuing her BFA in Musical Theatre. She is a graduate of Dreyfoos School of the Arts where she was a theatre major and performed in shows such as Thoroughly Modern Millie, Legally Blonde, and Guys and Dolls. She will be performing in Elon’s upcoming production of Working in the spring. Kyra would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for all of their love and support!

MAXIME PRISSERT is a senior at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. His most recent and favorite credits are Shrek (Shrek), Lord Capulet (Romeo & Juliet), Tito Mirelli (Lend Me A Tenor), Dad (Billy Elliot), Don Quixote (Man of la Mancha, Jud Fry (Oklahoma!), and Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof). He is currently in the process of choosing where to acquire his Musical Theatre or Acting BFA. Max would like to thank the TBD community for having nurtured his jewish identity for more than a decade and providing him with such amazing life-changing opportunities as the March of the Living.

Sasha Prissert is a sophomore theatre student at the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Last summer he performed in a concert with the New York Pops alongside Broadway Stars Laura Osnes and Max Von Essen. In May he will be back in NYC to perform at Green-Wood Cemetary’s annual Memorial Day concert. Favorite credits: Tony (West Side Story), Gabe (Next To Normal), Clyde (Bonnie & Clyde), Chris (Miss Saigon).
