Mifgash means "encounter" and is the teen (8th-11th grade) learning and engagement program of Temple Beth David. Our goal is to help young Jewish adults encounter (mifgash) the world around them using Jewish values and Jewish sensibilities as their guide. Melding both formal and informal education teens in Mifgash encounter Judaism in creative and dynamic ways seeing themselves as integral links in the unbroken chain of the Jewish people.
Rabbi David has partnered with Hillel at the University of Central Florida to offer a monthly seminar just for graduating High School seniors. Some of our sessions will address:
Gender-Variance in Judaism
Transition to College Life
Religious Values in Greek Life
Senioritis meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm (November 11, December 9, January 13, February 10, March 9, April 13, May 11)
